Shared ladder program
Ladder logic: 3 rungs with rising-edge, CMP, ADD
A runnable ladder logic program with 3 rungs using rising-edge, CMP, ADD, OTE, CLR. Open it in the free browser PLC simulator to edit, run and fork it. No install, no account.
What's in this program
- 3 rungs
- Uses a compare instruction
Instructions used: rising-edge (one-shot rising-edge contact), CMP (compare instruction), ADD (add two values), OTE (output energise coil), CLR (clear a register).

More example programs
Start/Stop motor with seal-in
The classic latching start/stop circuit. A momentary start button energises the motor, a parallel branch off the motor output seals the rung in, and a normally-closed stop button drops it out.
On-delay fan start (TON)
A run command starts an on-delay timer; once the preset elapses, the fan output turns on. A textbook TON example showing how the Done bit gates a downstream coil.
Batch counter with compare
Each part pulse increments a count-up counter; a compare instruction watches the accumulator and fires a Batch Complete output when it reaches the target. Shows CTU plus a CMP against a constant.
